DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL & ELECTRONICS ENGINEERING

The department was established in the year 1996 in the pollution free area to impart knowledge based quality technical education to uplift the rural community. The present intake of the department is 60. The department has well experienced and qualified staff to train students to meet the needs of today’s competitive world. The faculty are encouraged to update their knowledge by regularly attending workshops, seminars etc.

The department has following laboratories which are well equipped to fulfill the needs of syllabi.

Analog Electronics & Logic Design Laboratory

Microcontrollers Laboratory

Power Electronics Laboratory

Electrical Machines Laboratory

Control Systems Laboratory

Electrical Measurement & Circuit simulation Laboratory

Relay & High Voltage Laboratory

Power System Simulation Laboratory etc.

The department has separate computer lab with internet facility. The students of this department have consistently performed well in the university examinations. Few projects of final year students have been sponsored by KSCST and bagged many prizes in the state level project exhibitions held at various colleges affiliated to VTU. Our students are placed in many of the good companies throughout India and abroad. The students of our department are actively participating in the co-curricular and extra –curricular activities and bagged many prizes.

The department is having association of Staff & Students i.e. EESSA (Electrical & Electronics Staff & Students Association). The association was
formed in the year 1999. The sole purpose of association is to provide platform for students to exhibit their talents in co-curricular and extra –curricular activities. The association is conducting many more activities like paper presentation, quiz, trouble shooting competition etc. Under auspices of EESSA, department magazine and news letters are being released regularly.
